This website has been developed to enable everyone to become familiar with our college, its polices and other procedure that are the basic for the smooth functioning of our college, as well as to provide you with updated College news, schedule and events. This college has been setup and managed by “R.K. Educational Trust”, a non profit making registered charitable organization with an aim to impart for bridging the gap of modern & updated educational facilities between Metro-cities & our District and we are steadily striving to achieve our noble object.
We feel that an educational institution performs a significant function of providing learning experiences to lead their students from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge. It is observed that an educational institution without teacher is just like a body without the soul, a skeleton without flesh and blood, a shadow without substance. Therefore, the teacher is the yardstick that measures the achievements and aspirations of the nation.
The worth and potentialities of a country get evaluated in and through the work of the teacher, hence, the people of a country are the enlarged replica of their teacher. Therefore, they are the real nation builders.
As stated by Manu – “A Teacher is the image of Brahma”. But availability of efficient and quality teachers is the hall mark for national growth.
By the by, in 1998, in relation to Quality Concerns in Secondary Teacher Education, National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) stated ?”The teacher is the most important element in any educational program. It is the teacher who is mainly responsible for implementation of the educational process at any stage.”
Keeping the above view in mind, our Trust Body has decided that they will set up a Teachers Training College in the name and style of “Gita Teachers Training College” for imparting one year B.Ed Course.
“Gita Teachers Training College”, covering an area more than 82 sathak, is located in an institutional campus called “R.K. Knowledge Park” at Village-Abdarpur, PO- Barabagan, PS-Suri, Dist.- Birbhum, W.B., Pin-731103. The institutional building will have a built up area of more than 1500 square meter.
The institute started functioning from the academic session 2013-14 with an initial intake of 100 students in the B. Ed course. Gradually the number of students increased with additional intake capacity and also with introduction of M. Ed course in future.
